Li Marini district


If you sit on the terrace of this ancient Masseria, you can see the sea. In fact this farm is about 10 km far from the Ionian sea. Yet these few kilometers strongly characterize this inland district, with a very light rainfall. This pale brown and impermeable clay soil suits best fragrant grapes, whose balance must be oriented towards notes of aromas and freshness. That’s why the production of Li Marini district is focused on a6mani Bianco Salento IGP. These wines are peculiarized by balance and pleasantness, a typical taste that captivates, appeals and refreshes the senses.

Vine variety – Malvasia Bianca, Chardonnay.
Vines per ha – 4500
Production area – Contrada Marine, Monteparano, Salento, Puglia. At almost 100 meters above sea level, with a high average temperature and very little rainfall during the year. The soils are mainly composed of clay, with an average depth which reaches up to 1 meter.
Harvest period – Half of August
Vinification – Skin contact for 24h, then destemming followed by alcoholic fermentation in stainless-steel tanks at 12/14°C.
Maturation – Stainless steel
Tasting notes – Straw yellow with golden reflections, intense and persistent aroma, with ripe peach, passion- fruit and mandarin notes. Fresh wine, easy to drink, balanced and persistent
Best served with – Excellent with starters and fish soup, fresh cheese and pasta with light sauces.
Serving temperature – About 12°C.
